The Bakery at Hershey Farm has been hard at work developing 25 new, never before seen at the Whoopie Pie Festival, whoopie pie flavors!
While I am unable to share ALL of the new flavors I can share a few of my favorites.
A ripe strawberry cake with sweet whipped pineapple filling. The pie is made with real strawberries and pineapple. Very refreshing.
To be fair, my vote usually leans toward anything chocolate, but take something chocolate and dip it in more chocolate and I am there. The whipped pineapple filling is a sweet and unusual surprise.
Moist white confetti cake sandwiches a sweet and rich raspberry filling. Almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
See above for my views on chocolate. This whoopie pie combines buttery yellow cake, chocolate chunks and whipped chocolate cream cheese into the perfect bite. A chocolate lovers treat.
Imagine color studded confetti cake filled with whipped coffee flavored filling. Imagine your first bite. Imagine the sweet cake crumbling in your mouth as the coffee flavor explodes on your tongue. Imagine yourself realizing that you have only taken your first bite and that there are many more bites to go. Smile.
My favorites listed above are only 5 of the 150 unusual flavors expected at the 2012 Whoopie Pie Festival! I hope you’re as excited as I am for the other 145!
